Sablé cookies originated in coastal France. French for “sand”, the sablé is a rich cookie that crumbles delicately in the mouth. This not-too-sweet treat is perfect to enjoy with a cup of tea for a light snack or to serve alongside a mousse or ice cream.
Made from European butter, farm fresh eggs, organic flour, pure cane sugar and a dash of sea salt, we then add real vanilla bean. The cookies are rolled in natural sugar crystals and even more vanilla bean to give the crispy edges of this shortbread style cookie even more crunch.
